The Summer Deck - Throwback

We recently have worked on updating our deck - new rails and new post underneath that make it much safer and bring it up to code.

I found these older photos from 2018 of our deck when we first put up the lattice as a temporary fix.
It's always fun to have a look back and see how far we've come around our "fixer upper"!

This outdoor umbrella is now at the end of it's life.
It truly was a favorite and captured my style well.

My reel table also rotted away, but was so handy for plants and drinks.
And great that it was free! Always helpful to find free things as a new, young homeowner.

We recently power washed this outdoor rug which brought it right back to life.
So nice and bright and brand new here!

I don't think I've had begonias since summer of 2018, and now I'm wondering why not!
Such a nice pop of color.

The bouquet in the mason jar is from my garden.

This cushion is no longer, but the teal pillows live on! Not quite as "teal" looking anymore though...

We now have a bigger family sized outdoor dining set. But back then this little table was all we needed and we would haul the high chair outside for our son.

Even just a few years back everything looks so simple but still pretty. It's fun to look back and see how areas of your home "grow with you".

Hope you're having a blessed summer so far and enjoying and beautifying your outdoor spaces!
