Camping is one of those things where people either love it, or they hate it. I think it all depends on what they grew up doing with their family.
I grew up going camping. Camping trips were considered mini vacations, and we would often go with my closest cousin's family, so there was much excitement about it!
Recently I had been dying to go camping for the first time this summer. Then, I discovered the "outdoors" section on Pinterest, which made it that much worse! I started a new board called I'm a Happy Camper! and have been pinning pictures of cute vintage campers like crazy! You should definitely check out how cute they are.
Then, this last weekend I finally got to go and satisfy a bit of my outdoor craving. I wasn't in a cute vintage caravan...just a tent, but it was still so fun.
We were camping on the Holcombe Flowage and our campsite even had it's own dock!
I am ready to go back out again!
I've thought of a list of reasons why camping is so lovable to me and why it's such a good idea to go.
Hope all those wonderful things inspire you to go camping this summer!!
Blessings,
Olivia

It is very picturesque, and it looks like you had fun! I grew up camping. My parents had a trailer. When my spouse and I first got married we actually went a lot, but then we went to Victoria, and Vancouver. It was so cold and wet, the tent flooded, and we could not get a hotel room because it was BC weekend. We slept in the car. The important thing is that I remember that vacation, and there are many that I have forgotten. xoxo
ReplyDeletehaha aww man! Yes, that definitely sounds memorable!! ;)
DeleteYou know who loves this post, right? Me! Even though I haven't been camping since I was like ten. I love your pictures and the mood created here. I definitely think I will give camping a try when my kids are a little bit bigger (and sleeping through the night for sure...lol!)
ReplyDeleteThanks Alice! I'm sure your kiddos will enjoy it someday!!
DeleteI grew up camping and love it, but (and it is a big BUT!) my family invited my husband-to-be along for a trip to the beach. He was appalled at walking to the bathhouse, no TV, and eating outside. He refused to ever go again. Yes, I still married him and for the last 34 years have yearned to camp. I am glad you are having a great time. I am checking out your Pinterest Board!
